First of all, don’t worry, I’m not going to use the dreaded “C” word, nobody needs reminding about the crazy times we’re living in right now and given this, I know that loads of people have been having to work from home.
I don’t know about you… but feeling productive without a desk or colleagues etc can be difficult enough without the distractions that come along with it. The temptation to just pop another load of washing on, take the dog for a quick walk or flick the TV on can sometimes be a bit too difficult to resist.
Each morning I got up, I had all of the facilities to work from home, I had a designated lunchtime along with the same start and finish times I was used to… ready to start… but here’s where the issue kicks in, I found focusing, in my home environment (where I’m used to relaxing) tricky… procrastination kicks in, productivity drops and just the general feeling of boredom rears its head.. that was until I realised I was overlooking the obvious happy medium… MUSIC!
Even just in the background or in between calls, whether it be an old favourite CD, Apple Music, Amazon Music or Spotify (other music platforms are available) ?
For me, as a bit of a laid-back acoustic/acapella lover, so here are my top 5 playlists on Spotify!

5. Acoustic Covers: The Album – 1hr 3min

4. PTX Presents: Top Pol, Vol.I – 35mins
A stunning selection of PTX with their incredible acapella songs. They are breath taking and well worth a listen to. The only sad thing is that it’s only 35 minutes of pure peace… the good news is that PTX have many albums, all of which are well worth a listen to.
